Operations include the buildings, grounds, custodial, and maintenance departments. The mission of the Arbor Park School District 145 Custodial and Maintenance Services Department is multifaceted:
- Safety and Comfort: We strive to create a safe and comfortable environment where students can focus on learning and staff can perform their duties effectively. This involves regular cleaning, maintenance, and ensuring all facilities meet safety standards.
- Cleanliness: Maintaining a clean environment is crucial for the health and well-being of everyone in the school district. Our custodial team works diligently to keep all areas spotless and hygienic.
- Asset Protection: We are committed to preserving the district's assets by maintaining our facilities in their original condition. This includes routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance to avoid deterioration.
- Continuous Improvement: Recognizing the dynamic nature of educational needs, we continuously enhance the functionality of our facilities. This involves upgrading infrastructure, implementing new technologies, and adapting spaces to better serve the community and staff.
By focusing on these areas, we aim to support the educational mission of the Arbor Park School District and contribute to a thriving, adaptable learning environment.
Our Operations team is certified in Six Sigma 5S Organization Methods in order to reduce/control costs, maintain cleanliness, and have structure in the department. Our Leadership team is certified in Six Sigma with their Yellow Belt, which verifies their training to ensure a 5S House! All custodians annually complete their OSHA, 5S, and chemical trainings in order to stay fresh and up to date.
